We exist within relationships!

MY STORY
I am a Mexican woman, wife, and a mother of four beautiful boys. I am a compassionate, caring, non-judgemental, respectful, and positive peoples person. I believe in love, connection, and humanistic values as a tool to overcome challenges in life.
Life circumstances led my family (husband and children) and I to immigrate to Canada claiming refugee protection. As a new immigrant, I faced barriers such as language, recognition of my nursing educational background, and the weather. As an individual with refugee status, I did not have access to government programs such as ESL, which created a serious barrier for me. Moreover, not having the information and opportunity to pursue my previous profession was a challenge to my social, cultural, and economic integration in Canada. In addition, the climate impacted me in many ways. For example, in the wintertime, I became depressed, and all my fears and insecurities become stronger. These and other life experiences have shaped my outlook and approach to life.
Fortunately, after many efforts, professional support, and strong desire to become a professional in Canada, I accomplished my dream of completing a Master in Clinical Social Work and a Diploma in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Calgary.
My life journey has led me to realize that life is full of possibilities, and it would be an honor to help you!
